This beautiful property has been brought back to life with the excellent work that has been carried out on it. As soon as you enter the through the gates, you can see straight away how proud the property stands on its plot and although strikingly stylish, it still blends in wonderfully with its nature filled surroundings.
Upon arrival, we are lead down a gravel driveway which wraps itself around the house. The entrance to the house is to the back where there a lovely seating area. When entering the house, we go into a nice hallway which then leads through to the open plan kitchen and living area.
The kitchen is very classy and upscale. The combination of the dark units and the light granite work tops works very well and are a sight to be seen when the light bounces off of them. All of the white goods such as the fridge freezer, oven, gas hob and dishwasher are all built in and are top of the range. Here there is also a glass door leading out to the seating area. The floor is tilled throughout as well as the kitchen walls. Further along we have the living and dining space. On the wall where the dining table is, there is a large window gifting the room with the beautiful views of the rolling hills and of course the lake. To the left there is a balcony which with its elegant glass façade, makes you feel like you are planted in the middle of your own private paradise.
On this floor there is also a very good sized en-suite bedroom which of course could be turned in a spate dining or living room. The bathroom is a very good size and has a large glass shower cubicle. The balcony can also be accessed from this room.
Going down the wooden staircase, we come to the ground floor. Although it is not finished at the moment as it is a work in progress. Although once finished, there will be a nice snug area, a utility room and two bedrooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom. Both bedrooms are very good sizes and both have windows. From the snug area, there is a set of patio doors leading out onto the garden.
The property's garden is well laid out and winds itself around the house. The property has various fruit trees and also has a well. The land measures around 2700sqm. Although there are neighboring properties around, none of them impede your privacy.
There is also a large loft space that still could be converted into more accommodation as it has plenty of space and height. You could also fit a dorm window, giving the space much more light and of course it will give the room access to those beautiful views.

The closest village is situated at Serra, which has several cafes, restaurants and a small mini-market. There is a weekly market on Sundays. Serra is around a ten minutes' drive from the property. The larger town of Tomar, which has supermarkets, shops, builders merchants, cafes, restaurants, health centres, schools, a weekly market, swimming pools and historic Convento do Cristo and Castle constructed by the Knight Templars in the 12th century is around 20 minutes away.
Castelo do Bode lake, Portugal's second largest reservoir is only a short walk from the property. This lake is popular for all kinds of water sport activities including swimming, sailing, canoeing, scuba diving, wind surfing and water skiing. The lake is also a haven for wildlife and there are many river beaches close to the property, ideal for relaxing sunny days at the water's edge.
The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around one and a half hours' drive from the cottage, though it is possible to utilize either train or bus for this journey. Lisbon airport is serviced by several low cost airlines which operate regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
