There are approximately 60 mature olive trees, two large fig trees, an orange and a tangerine, peach trees and two apple trees, also a vineyard and a mixed forest with pine trees and a good number of mature arbutus bushes.
There is a large well at the bottom of the land which gives water all year round.
The property could be used as either an off-grid smallholding or could have a modern house built on it. It is in a very private location, it is not overlooked and has no near neighbors.
The property presently has good access a few meters on a dirt track from the tarmac road. There is vehicle access to the ruin and onto all the terraces of the land. The terraces are really very large and easy to work on. The land is very well kept and used as an orchard and vineyard by the current owners.
The property is located in the village of Nesperal, where there are two cafés. Nesperal is three km from the center of the town of Cernache do Bonjardim, which cafés, bars, shops, mini-market, pharmacy and schools. The larger town of Sertã is six km away.
Sertã has several supermarkets, shops, restaurants, banks, indoor and outdoor pools, a public library, schools, health centers, café bars, parks and municipal buildings and is easy to access off the IC8 dual carriageway.
The closest airport to the property is situated at Lisbon, which is around two hours and ten minutes. Lisbon airport is serviced by a variety of low cost airlines, which operate regular flights to and from the United Kingdom and other European countries.
