The plot area measures a total of 1.160 square meters. The larger house has a footprint of 73 square meters, whereas the smaller house has a footprint of 64 square meters. The houses are connected to mains water and electricity.
The larger house:
Is set on two floors and has attic space for storage. The ground floors has three exterior doors to the lane, all used for storage purposes. The main door is accessed via stone steps. The front door opens into a small hall, from which there is a door to the kitchen, with a traditional fireplace in the far corner.
From the entrance hall there is also a door opening to the centralized corridor. The first door to the left leads into the fully tiled family bathroom. There are two bedrooms to the left of the corridor, and a smaller one to the right hand side. Up front is the living room, prepared to have a wood burner installed in the far corner.
To the rear of the house there are cement steps leading to a roof terrace with nice views. From here the attic is accessed.
This house would benefit from modernization works but is basically habitable.
The smaller house:
On the far end of the plot there is a second house, which is a bit older. The front door is also accessed via stone steps to the side of the house. Upon entering, there is a small hall, which opens into a bathroom. To the right, we enter a centralized living room, form which there are two bedrooms to the right. At the left end, there is a door to the annex which was used as a kitchen a long time ago and needs total renovation. The rest of the house has had repair works carried out.
On the ground floor, accessed from the lane, there is a storage space.
The two occupy space each to one end of the plot, which is flat and has a vehicle entrance to a small shed at the far end.
There are a number of mature fruit trees, like cherry, oranges, nesperas and olives on the plot.
The property is located almost in the center of the town of Cernache do Bonjardim and is within walking distance of all amenities.
Cernache do Bonjardim is a lively little town and has cafes, bars, shops, mini-market, pharmacy and schools and is easy to access off the IC8 dual carriageway.
Sertã has several supermarkets, shops, restaurants, banks, schools, health centers, cafe bars, a very pleasant river side park and municipal buildings.
The closest airport to the property is located at Lisbon, which is approximately two hours´ drive way. Porto airport is slightly further taking approximately two and a half hours. Both Lisbon and Porto airports are serviced by several low cost airlines which operated regular flights into and out of the United Kingdom and other European countries.
